This is a fabulous “under the radar” event that follows the spectacular original 66 kilometre Mugello circuit. I was invited to drive with Nigel Parry in his Lotus 47. The most incredible part of this event being the fact that 40 kilometres of road is closed to the public! Following Nanni Galli in his Abarth at full chat screaming through Italian villages is a treasured memory. Melvin was unable to drive as he was waiting for eye surgery, however he was lucky enough to ride along with Andrew Mitchell’s AC Aceca that was briskly driven and beautifully turned out.
